I met a girl the other day at friend's birthday party who shared a similar enthusiasm to beer milkshakes. I fell instantly in crush.

Don't use Schaffer, whatever you do! Feel free to enjoy Schaffer on its own, though. Guinness or something dark - stout, porter - are my preferences.

I would love the option of using Schaefer but, very sad to say, all sources in the tri-state region have dried up years ago.

I have had good success with PBR/vanilla, Huber Bock/chocolate, and O'Fallon King Louis (toffee stout) or Shiner Birthday paired with coffee ice cream. The beers on their own...not so hot but in a shake, top notch.

there used to be a pre mix drink called Dark & Stormy - ginger beer & dark rum - they made great, late nite, ice cream spiders !!

A dark and stormy on a summer afternoon is outstanding! I probably wouldn't have more than a couple though.

Beer milkshake is an interesting concept. Never had one, although, I've often wondered if a scoop of vanilla in a Guiness would taste any good.
