Curry & raisins!

Also, you could make one with basil.

I cut the mayo with plain yogurt or sour cream and add toasted sesame seeds and a dash of balsamic (that's in addition to the usual minced celery and red onions). My real secret ingredient is Coleman's powdered mustard though. Love that stuff. It's also good in potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, whatever.

Apples are great instead of or in addition to raisins or grapes.

I too love apples. I bought both but decided to have the sweet be grapes this time and the crunch celery and walnuts.

omg My granma has been making this stellar recipe lately:

3 c chopped roasted skinless chix breasts (+/- 3/4 pound)

1/3 c chop green onion

1/4 c chop smoked almonds

1/4 c plain fatfree yogurt ( i like to use Annie's brand)

1 tsp chop fresh rosemary

1 tsp dijon mustard

I like to add vegenaise to mine, although Granny don't do it

Combine ingredients and serve on bread for sammies- sammies taste even gooder and hold their shape if refridgerated

Yum Granny!

Helmann's Light!
Posted: Jul 17, 2008 12:16 pm
My mom does one with dill, grapes and apple chunks, mayo and chicken. It kicks ass especially because she actually uses a whole chicken and then debones it for anothr recipe, then uses the leftover tiny bits of chicken for the chicken salad.

i think miss linda bones it, then uses that for another recipe

I haven't tried Helman's Light. Is it really all the flavor and less the fat?

No, I usually just churn my "Man Butter" right into the mix, that's how I cut down on the sodium, plus it's extra fun for people to comment on how good it tastes.
