I saw the ladies on Flip this House make em and it looked like they baked it awhile, but I am wondering if you should add the shrimp after they are cooked and THEN bake or what?

I dunno, but Mario Batali was trying to pass off polenta as grits for a shrimp & grits dish on Iron Chef the other day. no wonder he got his ass fucking handed to him by a new orleans chef.

best shrimp & grits I've had, they took the cooked grits and pressed them into a patty, pan fried them, and then put the shrimp on top (boiled or sauteed separately), and then covered with some kind of creamy hollandaise kind of sauce.

i bought some polenta grits today cos I just wanna try it and see what it ends up like. But after that recipe and watching those crazy Flip This House girls cook up that mess, I am using the quick grits on the shrimp/cheese concoction. Here is the more "bland" (though you can add bacon and mushrooms etc like the girls on the show did) verison that you bake up:

Not with cheese, but with cucumber and avocado. It seems not to be that fat. Fond from the Shrimp Appetizer Recipes:Shrimp Appetizer Recipes

It turned out like a light snack. Easy to make
