R.I.P. BB King

I gotta read this book I've had laying around here called "The BB King Treasures," but I've only had a couple of his records and didn't like 'em much. Anything essential besides early singles?

Not sure if BB died before this happened, but I'm just going to assume he did and that he's already performing miracles, well on his way to sainthood.

always preferred BBB, Bobby Blue Bland, who got his start as BB's "valet", among others (Jr. Parker, mostly).

King's popularity was with the white folks.

I can't stand Jr. Parker. Every song he did sounds just like Shotgun.

Blue however is THE SHIT.

bazooka joe:

but seriously, did you know that Al Green's first job was with Jr. Walker?

One of the funniest episodes of Sanford and Son is when B. B. King made a guest appearance.
